Kieni Factory Espresso

Nestled in the serene landscapes of Nyeri County, Kenya, the Kieni Factory is renowned for producing some of the finest coffee beans. Managed by the Mugaga Farmers’ Cooperative Society, this factory benefits from the dedication of around 1,000 passionate member farmers.

At Fjord, we cherish the unique flavour profile this light roast espresso offers. You'll be greeted with vibrant notes of currant, blackberry, and a hint of cola, thanks to the exceptional SL28 and SL34 varieties, alongside Batian and Ruiru 11.

The Mugaga Cooperative not only delivers top-notch coffee but also supports its community of over 4,800 farmers by providing resources to enhance yields and encouraging participation among young people and women. This commitment ensures sustainability and quality, with farm labour often being a family affair.

Our Kieni Factory espresso embodies the essence of Kenyan coffee, meticulously processed with a washed technique to highlight its distinct and delightful flavours.
