We’re looking for a motivated person to join the Fjord team at our Berlin based coffee roastery.

We're searching for someone who understands the importance of a methodical and systematic approach to production work, and is looking for flexible working hours. This is an exciting and fast learning position, with the successful candidate involved in all aspects of our day-to-day operation. 

This is a 'Mini Job' position, ideal job for someone who is studying, engaged in other employment or looking to fill out a few extra working hours per week. If you're passionate about coffee, that's also a bonus!

The primary focus of this position is packing and assisting with production, helping the roastery team to manage stock, fulfill orders and share our coffee across Germany and the world. If you have experience with brewing and tasting coffee, you'll also be able to assist the team with Quality Control (QC) and tasting sessions.

  • Physically capable of lifting heavy items and managing basic machinery

  • Tasting experience is an advantage

  • The role will initially focus on the packing and dispatch of orders

  • There is potential for this position to gradually progress into a permanent part time position, depending on company growth in the coming months

  • It is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about coffee with a desire to learn. 

  • 1-2 days per week (Monday to Friday), with Public Holidays off. 

Duties

Production & Quality Control

  • Assist the roasters in receiving green coffee stock and meeting production schedules 

  • Packing roasted coffee for retail and wholesale orders

  • Careful application of bag labels and roast dates

  • Dispatching orders

  • Cleaning and maintenance of the roastery equipment and workspace

  • Assisting in the communication to customers when orders are ready 

  • Assisting in quality control procedures 

  • Other tasks as required
